Book publication   The book ‘wonen’ wants to give you insight: how homes are conceived, lines drawn, spaces created. Taking the homes in which she lived as a starting point, the author examines the ideas behind our everyday homes and discusses how architecture can contribute to positive changes in our society - WalburgPers

‘Wonen’ is an extraordinarily fascinating book. The call to rethink dwelling (and thus building) is convincing and timely. Prins shows that living is a layered phenomenon, not limited to families, but equally composed of singles, communities or companions. Dwelling is an activity that must be acquired. This book can help architects, builders and policy makers who are not willing to resign to the current housing crisis. - Harm Tilman

In 1951 - also a period of feverish building activity - Martin Heidegger argued in his famous lecture 'Bauen Wohnen Denken' that we completely lost sight of what 'dwelling' really means. Before we build, we first should think about what 'dwelling' is. This is surprisingly actual. Also today we mainly talk about building, building, building!

During the COVID pandemic we experienced even

stronger than before how important our homes are to us. What are current housing demands? Which floor plans fit today's cohabitation? And which homes

are adaptable to future use? - AIR Rotterdam
